Embracing Movement: A Holistic Approach to Fitness

I never struggle to find the motivation to move my body. Over the years, I’ve experienced firsthand the incredible benefits of daily movement—both emotionally and physically.

There was a time when I pushed my body to the limit, believing that intensity was the key to maintaining my physical and emotional well-being. But after making major life changes a year ago, I’ve found a healthier, more sustainable approach—one that keeps me strong without running myself into the ground.

Some days, like today, I do CrossFit. Tomorrow, I might go for a bike ride and practice yoga. Thursday, I’ll book a class at @themovementsouthwest, and Friday is usually a rest day from the gym since I teach three yoga classes. On the weekend, I stay active with another class, riding, or even paddling (a new adventure for me!). No matter what, I move my body every day—listening to what it needs. Some days, that means pulling back on weight or intensity. It doesn’t matter if you do 10 lunges or 100 in an hour—just move.

Movement is not about pushing yourself to extremes, but about listening to your body and respecting its signals. It’s about finding that balance—strength without burnout. I truly believe that the most important part of fitness is showing up for yourself every single day, in whatever way feels right for you.

My new space will be up and running in May—stay tuned for details!

You Don’t Have to “Get Fit” to Start

Over the years, I’ve heard so many people say, “I’ll join the gym once I get a little fitter.” If that sounds like you and you’re interested in a more holistic approach to training but feel unsure about joining group classes, let’s chat. You can book one-on-one sessions or train with a friend to build confidence before stepping into a class setting.
